The special edition 2013 Deluxe Precision Bass Special is actually a pure and powerful hybrid of the two titans of Fender bass, the Precision and Jazz® basses. It takes the classic form of the Precision and endows it with a potent P/J configuration—a Vintage Special split single-coil Precision Bass pickup complemented by a growling Vintage Special Noiseless single-coil Jazz Bass bridge pickup. Together with a slender Jazz Bass neck with a "modern C" profile and black binding, it's a remarkably refined instrument.
